PolyTunnel Plastic

Light Transmission (P.A.R.)
Our greenhouse films are engineered to optimize light transmission within the Photosynthetically Active Radiation (P.A.R.) spectrum—ranging from 400 to 700 nanometers, essential for plant photosynthesis and healthy development. This feature ensures maximum energy capture from natural sunlight, improving crop yield and quality.
Key Benefit: Enhances energy absorption for stronger, faster growth.

Light Transmittance Control
All our films are designed to filter and regulate the amount of usable light entering the structure. By controlling the intensity of light based on crop needs, growers can manage shading levels effectively, preventing overexposure while maintaining optimal conditions for plant growth.
Key Benefit: Protects crops from light stress and overheating.

Light Diffusion
Our diffused films scatter direct sunlight into softer rays, eliminating harsh light spots and providing a cooler, more uniform climate within the tunnel. This helps reduce plant stress, prevents sunburn, and promotes even canopy development.
Key Benefit: Avoids hotspots and supports balanced canopy growth.

Thermal Effect (IR)
Our IR-blocking films retain heat during cooler nights, creating a buffer against temperature drops and protecting crops from cold stress and frost damage. This added thermal regulation extends the growing season and improves plant resilience.
Key Benefit: Minimizes thermal shock and increases yield stability.
What Is Tunnel Plastic Film?
Tunnel Plastic Film is a specialized polyethylene cover used in macro tunnels and greenhouses to create a protected environment for crops. Designed for durability and high light transmission, this film shields plants from wind, rain, pests, and temperature extremes, while maintaining optimal growing conditions inside.
What Is The History Of Plastic Film?
The history of Plastic Film began in the early 20th century with the invention of cellophane in 1908 by Swiss chemist Jacques E. Brandenburger, who was searching for a waterproof coating for fabric but ended up creating a transparent, flexible material that soon found widespread use in packaging. However, the true turning point came with the development of polyethylene (PE) in 1933 by British chemists Reginald Gibson and Eric Fawcett at Imperial Chemical Industries. Initially used in military applications during World War II for insulation and radar cable coatings, polyethylene became commercially available in the 1950s and rapidly revolutionized the packaging industry due to its flexibility, light weight, moisture resistance, and low production cost. The ability to extrude polyethylene into thin, durable sheets led to the birth of plastic film applications across various sectors including food packaging, medical products, consumer goods, and agriculture. In farming, the introduction of Polyethylene Film Mulch and Greenhouse Covers in the 1950s and 1960s allowed growers to control microclimates, retain soil moisture, and reduce pest pressure, leading to significant gains in yield and resource efficiency. Over time, Plastic Films evolved with innovations in multi-layer extrusion, UV stabilization, color tinting, and biodegradable materials, expanding their utility across the globe. Today, Plastic Films are essential not only in agriculture but also in packaging, construction, healthcare, and electronics, shaping industries and daily life through their adaptability, protection, and functionality, while simultaneously driving conversations around sustainability, recycling, and environmental impact.
How Does Poly Plastic Film Help Growers?
• Protects from weather: Acts as a barrier against wind, heavy rain, and frost.
• Increases yield and crop quality: Creates a controlled microclimate for stronger, more uniform growth.
• Improves light transmission: Allows photosynthesis while filtering harmful UV rays.
• Extends growing seasons: Enables early planting and late harvesting cycles.
• Supports organic and sustainable practices: Reduces the need for chemical inputs by managing the environment naturally.
What Is The Poly Tunnel Plastic Film Main Functionality?
The Poly Tunnel Plastic Film’s primary role is to modify and protect the growing environment by regulating temperature, conserving moisture, shielding crops, and enabling more efficient, productive, and climate-resilient agricultural practices.
What Ideal Structure Can It Be Use In:
• Macro Tunnels (Tunnel 1.0 & 2.0)
• Greenhouses
What Are The Types Of Tunnel Film Offered?
1. Traditional Tunnel Film (Standard Cover)
• Full coverage, non-perforated
• Excellent protection from rain, wind, pests, and temperature shifts
• Creates a sealed, high-humidity environment for maximum crop protection
• Ideal for cooler climates or where heat retention is required
2. Advance Air Plastic Tunnel Film (Vented Cover)
• Designed with ventilation perforations along the arch or top sections
• Allows hot air and humidity to escape, while letting in cooler, fresh air
• Improves air circulation, reduces disease pressure, and prevents plant stress in high heat
• Ideal for tropical or arid regions where tunnels overheat during the day
Best For Crops:
